Katie Gargaro

Director of Project Management

Katie Gargaro, PE, is Director of Project Management at Infrastructure Strategies, leading operations with a focus on strategic planning, quality assurance, and stakeholder engagement. With over 17 years in engineering, construction, and project delivery, she guides complex infrastructure projects to successful, value-driven outcomes across both public and private sectors.

Before joining IS, Katie served as a Supervisor for the City and County of Denver, managing a team of engineers and delivering complex projects including the 56th Avenue Improvements and Jewell Evans Pedestrian Bridge—efforts that earned her the 2024 APWA Professional Manager of the Year award. She also advanced standard operating procedures, staff training, and mentorship programs.

Her earlier private-sector work with Studio NYL and SDI Structures focused on structural solutions for complex architectural geometry, with notable projects such as the University of Notre Dame Ice Hockey Arena and Zingerman’s Deli.

Katie is recognized for blending technical expertise with strong leadership, fostering collaboration, and navigating diverse delivery methods and funding sources.

Off the clock, she’s a golfer, snowboarder, and photographer, enjoying life in Colorado with her husband, Tony, and daughters, Olivia and Charlotte.
