With over 17 years of experience in the design and construction industry, John is a leader in the planning, design, and execution of complex infrastructure projects and programs. He offers expertise in program & project management best practices, collaborative delivery procurement & implementation, and strategic problem solving.
Prior to joining Infrastructure Strategies LLC, he led the Colorado Convention Center Expansion at the City and County of Denver, to an on time and on budget completion. Under John’s leadership, this $233M design-build project not only met its schedule and financial goals, but also exceeded economic development objectives, with over $45M directed to minority- and women-owned businesses and over 170 apprentices receiving job training on the project. During his time at the City & County of Denver, John also led accelerated procurements, led collaborative project delivery standardization, and built relationships across departments to deliver successful outcomes.
Prior to join the City and County of Denver, John’s experience includes consulting and general contracting on unique higher education, laboratory, and technical research projects in the San Francisco Bay Area. Previous clients include VMware, Western Digital, Dolby, University of Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry, University of California San Francisco, California Independent System Operator, and private developers.
Away from the office John loves spending time with his wife, Annie, and two daughters, Callie and Kaelyn. As a family they enjoy swimming, summer vacations, listening to Jimmy Buffet, and camping in the Rocky Mountains!
